Downtown Greenville, SC City and Bar Engagement Session

Molly + Blake

We had such a great time with Molly and Blake on the day of their shoot! We met up with them at the Cancer Survivors Park in downtown Greenville, SC. We walked from there to the Rock Quarry Garden to start the shoot. Just on the short 5-minute walk, we all hit it off right off the bat! There was no awkwardness or nervousness, just pure getting to know each other and bonding! I loved that Molly and Blake were plain out themselves the entire shoot! They laughed, joked, and told us when a pose wasn't quite right. Truly, that's the perfect way to get the best photos and I'm so happy with how all their photos turned out!

After the Rock Quarry Garden, we headed back towards Falls Park in downtown Greenville. On the way, we NO JOKE saw a squirrel come flying out of a tree and almost land on the people in front of us and just scurried away. It made Molly and me die laughing. The people in front of us just brushed it off as if nothing happened, but we could not believe what we just witnessed lol. A little bit further down the path, we saw what looked like a beaver near the river and we got closer to check it out. We then learned from a guy walking by it was a Nutria. I didn't even know those existed, much less around here haha. We saw another one close to a drain pipe and Molly tried to get closer and it scurried away and up into the pipe, turned around, and stared down at us like, "I don't know what you were just doing, but I'm watching you." The entire walk back we could not help but laugh and have a great time witnessing everything we did in that short walk.

After the eventful walk, we kept walking to Falls Park! Falls Park is right in the middle of downtown Greenville and the perfect place for any kind of shoot. We've done families, maternity, engagement, bridals, and wedding family formals here. It has a huge waterfall with the river, a bridge that goes over it, and all the buildings and life of Greenville! We took some photos at the waterfall, on the bridge, and then headed for the bar right under the Lodge Hotel! The bar idea came from Molly mentioning that they like to go to the bar on the weekends. I found some inspirational photos on Pinterest and we fell in LOVE with the idea! We had the bar's permission beforehand and all the people in the bar were so nice and let us do our thing! After we had a drink with them, then we went our separate ways.

This photoshoot was perfect!! It was so creative and fun and everything we planned for it to be! I think even Blake had a good time! (We all know guys hate photos haha) I'm so excited we get to do photos and a video for their wedding in November 2024! Enjoy a glimpse of their engagement photos!
